You guys, I'm so sorry, but I have to share this. This is so freaking crazy. This is a white bowl. I'm filling it with clear water. This is how I always clean my fruits and vegetables. And I bought one of those machines that can clean your fruits and vegetables for you. So I put them into a clear bowl with the machine and look at this. Like, what in the hell is all of that? I'm glad you asked because the answer is quite ironic. No, this is not some sort of nasty. pesticides coming off her fruit. And in another video, she shows that the same weird brown stuff occurs when she puts the device in just plain old tap water.

But if you think about it, tap water has stuff in it. Not dangerous stuff, but stuff. And in this case, it's the minerals. So in our normal tap water, there's a very small amount of iron, which is actually important because our bodies need iron. And normally that iron is totally bowed up. It's in solution and you can't see it at all. put the device in. It produces what's called a hydroxide anion. Basically, an OH molecule. It's like a water that you remove one of the hydrogens from it. And that's really reactive. And it reacts with most types of metals. So the OH combines with that little iron and it produces another compound, which now can no longer remain suspended in the water and instead it precipitates out, creating that brownish, reddish dunk that looks nasty, but is actually totally fine for you.
