The FDA just approved over-the-counter naloxone, also known as NARCAN. That's the drug where if someone is overdosing on opioids, it's a nasal spray, you take it, and you basically don't die. And over 100,000 people died from opioid overdoses in the 10-month period leading up to last October. It is a massive problem, and even if you or no one you knows actually takes any sort of opiates that you know of, having naloxone on hand, having a nircan device on hand, could save someone's life. So as soon as this actually hits the shelves, everyone should go out and get one.
