Can You Use Your AC During Wildfires?

Can you run your AC if you live somewhere being affected by the wildfires? A lot of people have been asking me this. Here's the quick download. Basically, what a typical air conditioner unit does is it recirculates air within the room so as to save on energy. So it's not bringing air in from the outside unless it has a mode that says outdoor air mode. So don't use that. Keep it running on recirculation and it's fine. Now, theoretically, the air conditioners do have a filter that can help a tiny bit, but most of those filters are only designed for really large particles. the electrostatic nature of them is pretty much entirely gone, so they're not going to do all that much. But it is better than nothing for at least getting one of the bigger ones.
